Christmas Cookie Recipes: Peanut Star Cookies
Christmas Cookie Recipes Season is on!
There are never too many cookie recipes for the Holiday season. These Peanut Star Cookies are one of my favorite. At first, they are easy to make, secondly, they are very delicious. They are nutty and not too sweet, just as I like.
Prep Time: 20 min
Bake Time: 15 min
Chilling time: 30 min
Equipment: Parchment Paper, Baking Pan, Spatula, Cooling Rack, Mixer, Rolling Pin
Peanut Star Cookies Recipe Instructions:
Beat 200 g (7.2 oz) Unsalted Butter at room temperature together with 120 g (4.2 oz) Sugar and 1 tsp Vanilla Extract to a cream consistency.
Add 1 Egg and mix together.
Add 375 g (13.2 oz) All-Purpose Flour, 1/4 tsp Baking Powder and 1/4 tsp Salt. Mix with a paddle attachment. You will have a soft dough. Make a ball and wrap it. Put in a fridge to chill for 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, roast and chop 100 g (3.5 oz) of Peanuts.
Preheat an oven to 375F(190C).
Take the chilled Dough out from the fridge. Divide into 2 pieces (it will be easier to work with).
7. Roll the dough to 8mm thick. You can use Adjustable Rolling Pin with Thickness Rings to be precise. Cut the Cookies with a cookie-cutter. I used the star-shaped one.
8. Slightly beat 1 Egg White and brush Cookies with it. Sprinkle them with the chopped Peanuts.
9. Bake for 15 minutes at 375F (190C).
10. Cool Cookies down on a cooling rack. Sprinkle them with Powdered Sugar and enjoy!
